Part-time Youth Pastor
Diana Reinert--Worship Director
Diana was raised as a missionary kid in Southern Africa. God planted the seeds for ministry in her heart early. Recognizing her need for a Savior, and accepting His great gift of salvation as a young child, she ministered alongside her parents. During Diana’s college years, God unmistakably called her to ministry. She surrendered herself to follow Him wherever He would lead. After graduating from Olivet Nazarene University with a double major in Church Music and Elementary Education, Diana and John were married. They moved to Chambersburg in 1991, becoming involved at Chambersburg BIC.
Over the years, Diana served in worship ministry, healing prayer ministry, children’s choir, small group leader, and SS teacher. John served in Boys Brigade, Church Board, Building Committee, and Sound Tech.
Diana taught 4th grade at Cumberland Valley Christian School and piano at Cumberland Valley School of Music until her children (Ben and Lorena) were born. She was blessed to be a stay at home Mom, while continuing to volunteer at CBIC and later Antrim BIC. As Ben and Lorena grew older, God would not release Diana from a passion and desire to serve in staff ministry in a local church. Waiting for the right door to open has been a lesson in patience, surrender, faith formation and persistence. She counts it a joy to be welcomed at West Side to fulfill this life-long dream and passion to partner with and lead God's people in Worship each Sunday.
Diana is currently working on the BIC Directed Study Program toward ordination. She teaches general music, piano, violin, and guitar lessons at Montessori Academy and CVSM. Diana and John are now empty-nesters. They enjoy growing and preparing their own food, hiking, and traveling together.
